With just a week to go until Easter we thought we would give you a little treat to all our lovely customers. It doesn’t mean you can eat the whole torte at once though! It is however the perfect dish to share with family and friends.


For the baseChocolate Torte

150g oats

150g nuts (almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, or any other, or a mixture)

100ml melted coconut oil

For the filling

400ml Coconut milk

400ml melted Coconut oil

200ml Honey

1 heaped tbsp raw organic cacao powder


Line the base of an 8inch/20cm cake tin (with removable base) with greaseproof paper. In a food processor blend the oats and nuts until they look like breadcrumbs, then add the coconut oil and blend again, the mix should stick together well, if not then add a little more oil. Put the mix into the cake tin and press down firmly and evenly and place in the fridge.

In a bowl put all the other ingredients and blend with a stick blender until smooth, the mix should thicken slightly. Then pour the mix into the cake tin on top of the base and put into the fridge to set (about 30-45 minutes). Remove from the tin and, using a hot knife (heat by dipping into hot water for a few seconds), cut into portions and serve.

Serve with fresh strawberries, blueberries or raspberries…
